About Terrabaci

There is no place on this planet that can rival the beauty, power and rawness of Sicily for me. It is an island resplendent in its culture, history and visitors, one with the agricultural ability to feed a large swath of our planet with its rich volcanic soil and endless days of sunshine. It represents how struggle and stress can be useful, like its siccagno tomatoes that strain themselves to find water, resulting in fruit that is concentrated and bursting with flavor. The same can be said for its wonderfully eclectic history, a place not unfamiliar with conflict but one that has absorbed every bit of culture that blazed through the wild landscape- Phoenician, Byzantine, Spanish, Roman, Greek, Arab, Norman. I’m drawn to this narrative of battle & sacrifice and the beauty that results. I only see the great potential that lies ahead for Sicily. I have found myself time and time again, called to return and give back to a land I hold so close to my heart. Terrabaci is the culmination of that calling. 

My name is Anna and I have a passion for preserving Sicilian food ritual, tradition & heritage by sharing artisanal products that best represent Sicily and the path it is forging in our modern times. In building lasting relationships with small producers, I strive to share products that you otherwise would not have access to. Representing people whose practices honor the history of the place and helping them continue in their pursuit of passion and craftsmanship as they move in a world always innovating and modernizing.
